Communicable Disease Exposures
If you have any work-related communicable disease exposures, notify your supervisor. Your supervisor will contact the Program of Hospital Epidemiology (PHE - pager 3158). PHE will gather names, confirm the exposure, then work with UEHC to notify potentially exposed employees and facilitate evaluation of the staff members to determine if post exposure prophylaxis is indicated.
Reproductive Hazard Screenings
A reproductive hazard is any biological, chemical, or physical stressor that has the potential to adversely affect the human reproductive process. These effects may occur through either parent’s reproductive cells, prior to conception or during the fetal development. Employees with concerns regarding potential workplace reproductive hazards are encouraged to discuss these issues with UEHC and/or their personal physician.
